HBO declared in March the Friends reunion would be placed on hold, so in the meantime, we are reminiscing on the very clear style star of the team: Rachel Green. Brought to life by Jennifer Aniston, the trendsetting character had girls frantically phoning the salon for their own Rachel cut and motivated our rang rasiya clothes choices before we fully knew how to dress ourselves. The show mastered tv from 1994 to 2004, a formative time for several millennials, style-wise. It was when we began paying closer attention to what we chose out for school, first picked an outfit for a formal dance, and developed our love for its classic’90s slip dress.
And what exactly did we consistently lean for inspiration?
Rachel acquired a special place in our hearts (and cabinets ), evolving from a pouf-sleeve runaway bride into a hardcore fashion exec, with gigs at Bloomingdale’s and Ralph Lauren. So now, more than 25 years following the show’s premiere, we’re pleased to report that the character’s wardrobe is filled with looks we’d happily wear this day. A lightweight stitched layered beneath a spaghetti-strap gown? Totally. A ordered skirt suit in a statement color? Yes, please. Until then, we’ll be bingeing Friends and becoming nostalgic on some of the finest Rachel Green style moments ever, ahead.
